I love the fabric of this vest more than any other vest or jacket I have. I love the way it looks and the way it feels.
But after months of wear, I have determined it fails at what for me are non-negotiable in a vest.
First off, the outer vest pocket has no closure (like a zipper). After the umteenth time of my mobile phone falling out of it when leaning over, I had to abandon it as a place to keep my phone, LIKE EVERY OTHER VEST I HAVE EVER OWNED.
Try the inside zippered pocket you say? That pocket is just weird. It wraps half way around my back.
As it turns out, the side pockets are just a tease. They have no object retention capability at all. There is not even one stitch from the bottom of the vertical opening. Whatever you put in this pocket, sooner or later, it will fall out. Hopefully you’ll be aware of it. Hopefully it won’t fall down a sewer drain.
Just today, I was headed to Home Depot with a tape measure in my right pocket. As I was driving to the store, I heard it fall between my seat and the center console of the car. I actually bloodied the top of my hand getting the darn thing out of that crack so I could have it with me in the store.
Seems to me what I have is an expensive pajama top. It feels wonderful and I don’t put things in my pockets when I go to bed.
Great vest, I own four. They need to improve the quality of the zipper and they will get 5 stars.
I always travel or go to restaurants with a vest on. Love the quality. Looks good & feels good.
The fit and quality are excellent. The only issue is the charcoal and light charcoal look so similar in color that I wish I had only ordered a single vest.

The initial vest had a stuck zipper, and Gabriel was extraordinarily accommodating in arranging an exchange. I have not yet worn it because it’s finally warm here in Kentucky, but am sure it will be perfect
Very nice looking-much more formal then all my PM vest. Did not know about all the zipper pockets until I watched a video while wearing it!
How about a version in Navy?
I love the vest, and will make a lot of use out of it. It is, however, way heavier than I expected it to be. While great for cold weather wear, it won't function really well for indoor use -- just too heavy for must indoor situations. Still, that doesn't mean it won't be useful. Extremely soft and durable, and the fit was great.

Bought the Ritter vest with a bit of skepticism, because it seemed expensive. I am very happy I made the purchase. Although not inexpensive, it represents a good value in my opinion. The quality is outstanding, and many compliments later my family is encouraging me to buy another one.

Really really nice vest, classier than my usual fleece vest and just as warm. I’m 6’2” and weigh 185lbs - size L fits me perfectly.
The feel of the fabric and the finish work on seams, zippers, etc is outstanding. However, an XS in women’s would be welcome. I’m a fairly standard small and find this just a bit too big — a bit boxy. Deducting a star for lack of size options
